Workplace Giving Programs

Many employers have workplace giving programs - such as United Way.  You can choose the Portland Women's Crisis Line to receive a tax deductible donation from your paycheck.  You can make this a one-time gift, that's deducted from one paycheck, or you can pledge a gift over a year, and a portion is taken from each paycheck through that year.

If you are a federal worker, you can choose the Portland Women's Crisis Line as the recipient of your donation by indicating our agency on your CFC enrollment card.

Planned Gifts

An overlooked type of donation, Planned Gifts, can provide positive tax savings to you and your estate, and at the same time enable a larger or more significant gift amount for the Portland Women's Crisis Line.

What are Planned Gifts?

  • Give shares of appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds or real estate to the Portland Women's Crisis Line.
  • You may name the Portland Women's Crisis Line or one of our specific programs to receive a bequest through your Will.
  • Designate the Portland Women's Crisis Line as the beneficiary of your insurance policy, IRA or Retirement Plan.
  • Individuals with very large estates can use a Charitable Lead Trust to benefit the Portland Women's Crisis Line and pass principal to family members with little or no tax penalty.

For more information about how to designate the Portland Women's Crisis Line as a beneficiary of a Planned Gift consult your lawyer or other financial professional.
